We do not aim to produce thousands of tonnes of olive oil. Skoutari Gold is intentionally produced in limited quantities so that we can protect the character and quality of each harvest.

For us, those first bottles represented far more than olive oil. They embodied five years of relentless learning, unwavering patience, and a belief that true excellence is earned—not manufactured.

FROM 76 BOTTLES TO A GLOBAL AMBITION
Some things cannot be hurried.
The finest olive oil is not created in a single season, but through years of patience, observation, and respect for the land.
In 2017, we began a journey with a single ambition: not merely to produce olive oil, but to create one worthy of standing among the world’s finest.
For the first five years, we made no attempt to build a business. Instead, we dedicated ourselves to mastering our craft. We studied every aspect of the grove—from the character of the soil and the rhythm of the seasons to the precise moment each olive should be harvested. Every decision was questioned, every harvest became a lesson, and every setback refined our understanding.
As we enter 2027, we celebrate ten years of dedication to a single philosophy:

Heritage Story – Skoutari
The land of Skoutari breathes time.
Nestled between the crystal-clear waters of the Laconian Gulf and the rugged hills of the Mani Peninsula, Skoutari is a place where olive-growing traditions have flourished for thousands of years.
Since the Mycenaean era, olive oil has been treasured as a symbol of life, prosperity, and Mediterranean culture. Today, Skoutari Gold continues this timeless tradition, producing certified organic extra virgin olive oil from carefully selected Koroneiki olives, hand-harvested and cold-pressed to preserve their exceptional freshness and character.

In the quiet of Byzantium and through later trials, Skoutari remained faithful to its rhythm: hand-harvesting, patience, and a land that rewards only those who know how to listen.
When autumn arrives and the air cools, the harvest begins. Olives are gathered by hand, calmly, without haste. Only the finest fruit is chosen. Pressed soon after harvest by cold extraction, their flavor, aroma, and natural vitality are preserved intact. Nothing is added—and nothing needs to be taken away.

In the mornings, we woke to mist-covered hills and ancient olive trees—and soon realized how the rush of everyday life had been left behind.
Encounters with local harvesters and the taste of freshly pressed, natural olive oil changed our understanding of the entire product. It wasn’t just oil, but part of daily life, tradition, and moments shared together. That’s when the idea was born: we wanted to bring this same experience to Finland.
Creating our first Skoutari Gold product took five years. We didn’t rush, because we knew that only time can create something truly lasting. Now, nine years later, we have refined our product to an ever higher level of perfection.
Skoutari Gold comes from a small, carefully selected region. It is made to be shared—for unhurried moments and good food.
